I’ve tried every diet, eaten every type of food and listened to every point of view on what’s good and what’s not.
Result – slightly confused BUT coming to understand that the best teach on nutrition is your own good self!
I think I was constantly looking for a diet or regime that allowed me to have bread, but you know what? My body doesn’t like bread – simple. That doesn’t mean that I like that, but it’s the truth because it is what is!
In Chinese medicine we know that every body is different, so if you have a cold tummy for example, then you don’t want to eat foods that slow your digestion, like dairy, chilli and meat. I do know when I eat those foods my ezcema flares up – so listen to your body.
These are some things that I do know that are true for me:
It’s about AMOUNT of food, watch your amounts
Miso and white rice (or brown) is a healthy way to start the day
We are at least 85% water, so we need to drink water – my bottom line is 4 glasses a day, but I know I’d feel better with 8
If you’re going to eat meat, then chew chew chew – if that stuff gets stuck in your digestion – yikes, rotten food, that will create problems for sure
Sugar is bad for everyone! Not fruit, but processed sugar. If you knew the story behind how it was used against countries in war, you’d think twice before you allowed it to infiltrate your life as it does. I certainly still use it (trying to cut down) but I do with the consciousness of what it does to my body.
Soy products, be careful of. I gave up soy milk and my skin cleared up, it’s a very highly processed food, therefore very hard to digest.
Last but not least is bread. My relationship with bread goes back from the beginning, I ate it to fill my bell, comfort me and it has been a long standing friend – well I thought was a friend. I have realised quite shockingly after a session with an amazing healer called Ben Hendrickson and he told me what bread really does. He said “Do you remember how you made glue in Kindy, it was flour and water right” I nodded and then realized I’ve been eating glue. What does glue do??? Line the inside of your digestive track so that your body cannot feel whether you’ve eaten AND you can’t properly digest your food. He went on to tell me how the brain and body become disconnected so the brain thinks the body is dying and same with the body thinking the brain is dying because of this glue stopping our bodies ability to register and digest what we eat. I did stop for a while and found I felt quite different, alive and feeling things AND lost lots of weight. So today as I write this, I’m stopping again. Bread is just everywhere and it’s been something that I can too faithfully.
Having said all that – I believe that if you BELIEVE a food is good or bad for you, it will be.

Great advice – especially the points about red meat and bread!
Thanks Scarlett!
Do you follow a strict diet? I have had some stomach problems and am still trying to find a good balance.any suggestions?
Thanks for feedback! No I don’t follow a strict diet, perhaps I should! Like everyone, I seek to find balance and listen to my body to see what works and what doesn’t. Stomache is an issue I’m always facing myself and I know that when I get ezcema on my chin (stomach area) then something is not right. It can be that I’ve been eating too much acidy stuff, sugar, alcohol etc. and also emotional. Stomach represents how we digest ideas in our lives, so if something is going on that you don’t want to absorb, don’t agree with, don’t like etc then it can show up there. Our stomach is all about emotions…. Also a key point to stomach is to chew your food! This allows time to be present when you eat and brings all the digestive juices in that you need to process what you eat.
Anyway, hope that helps a bit and have an awesome day and thanks again
